Solar Warning Light
Solar Warning Traffic Light is the inner part of our led traffic lights.
A solar warning light is a self-contained flashing LED beacon powered by an integrated solar panel and battery. It is deployed wherever grid power is unavailable, unreliable, or too expensive to extend, including rural road intersections, construction zone perimeters, speed bump approaches, school zone flashers, and emergency road hazard markers. The solar design eliminates trenching, cable laying, and electricity costs, making it the preferred specification for off-grid deployments. GAOQIAO supplies solar warning lights in single-flash, double-flash, and sequential-flash modes, with amber, red, blue, and white LED options and battery autonomy up to 30 days without sunlight.

How to Choose the Right Solar Warning Light
Four variables determine the right specification:
- Hazard severity and approach speed: Higher speed approaches need higher LED count and faster flash rate. For school zones, 12-24 LED at 60 FPM is sufficient. For expressway construction, 96 LEDs at 90 FPM is more appropriate.
- Geographic solar availability: The solar panel and battery sizing depends on the worst-month sunlight hours at the deployment location. Northern Europe installations need higher capacity than equatorial deployments. GAOQIAO sizing tool can recommend the right combination for any latitude.
- Mounting situation: Pole-clamp mount for existing poles, base plate for ground-mount on construction barriers, magnetic for temporary vehicle-mounted deployment. Each has different solar exposure implications.
- Color and regulatory compliance: Amber is the standard color for road hazards worldwide. Red, blue, and white have specific regulatory meanings (red = stop, blue = emergency, white = pedestrian crossing) and should only be used where appropriate to the local road code.
A common mistake is specifying amber for applications where the local road code requires red or yellow. Always check with the destination country's traffic authority before specifying non-amber color.
Key Features and Benefits
LiFePO4 Battery for Long Service Life
The LiFePO4 battery delivers 2000+ charge cycles, which is 4-5 times the lifespan of conventional lead-acid batteries. At one charge cycle per day, the battery provides 5+ years of maintenance-free operation.
Integrated Solar Panel with MPPT Charging
The integrated mono-crystalline solar panel uses Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charging, delivering 20-30% more energy than conventional PWM controllers. This is critical in low-light conditions and partial shading.
Multiple Mounting Options
The unit ships with selectable mounting hardware: pole clamp for Ø 50-100 mm poles, base plate for ground fixing, and magnetic for temporary vehicle mount. One product, multiple deployment scenarios.
Common Applications
- Rural road intersections without grid power
- Construction zone perimeters (amber flashers)
- Speed bump approaches (amber flashers)
- School zone flashers (amber or yellow)
- Emergency road hazard markers (red for closure, amber for caution)
- Toll plaza approach indicators (amber)
- Weigh station entry signals (amber)
- Mine and quarry vehicle crossings (red for stop, amber for caution)
- Pedestrian crossing flashers (white for pedestrian warning)
- Port intermodal yard signals (red/amber/green for traffic control)

Installation and Maintenance
Installation: mount the unit to the chosen surface using the appropriate bracket, ensure the solar panel faces the predominant sun direction (typically south in the Northern Hemisphere), and switch on. No wiring is required. Installation time: 10-15 minutes per unit.
Maintenance: visual inspection every 6 months (check solar panel cleanliness, verify flash operation), battery replacement at 5-7 year intervals (LiFePO4 service life). The LED module is rated for 50,000 hours and is field-replaceable.
Certifications and Compliance
Standard documentation: CE/RoHS/FCC, ISO 9001 quality system, 3-year warranty on the complete unit, 5-year pro-rata warranty on the battery. Country-specific certifications (SASO, INMETRO) on project basis.
