A 2-aspect LED traffic light combines two signal indications, most commonly red and green, in a single vertical or horizontal housing. It is the workhorse of low-complexity intersections: T-junctions, parking exits, factory gate access points, weigh-station approaches, and bus-only lane entries. By concentrating both indications in one head, the 2-aspect design reduces pole hardware, simplifies wiring, and accelerates installation, particularly valuable in large municipal rollouts. How to Choose the Right 2-Aspect Signal
The 2-aspect configuration is specified where yellow is not required for the controlled movement. Common scenarios include: parking lot exits where drivers must stop before entering a roadway (red + green, no yellow), bus-only entry lanes where a constant green is the default state, and reversible lane control on bridges where the green arrow signals "open" and the red X signals "closed".
The most common buying mistake is specifying 2-aspect when a 3-aspect is needed for safety: any approach where drivers may need a yellow warning phase requires a 3-aspect LED traffic light. The 2-aspect is correct only when the regulatory environment is permissive on yellow transition, or where the controlled movement is "go / no-go" only.

Countdown Timer Integration
An optional 3-digit countdown timer module can be added to the lower or side position of the housing, displaying seconds remaining before the next phase change. Field-Serviceable LED Modules

For reversible lane and one-way street applications, the green indication can be replaced with a green arrow module. This converts the 2-aspect head into a direction-controlled signal without changing the housing dimensions, simplifying retrofit projects on existing poles.

Installation and Maintenance
Mount the 2-aspect head using the supplied pole-top bracket, with the red indication uppermost by default. Cable entry is via the bottom gland, with a 3-core cable (live, neutral, earth) plus control wires for the green channel. Power and controller wiring follows the same conventions as standard 3-aspect heads. Typical installation time is 20–30 minutes per head, including aiming.
